This is the third installement of the very popular series Mr Vampire, and although there really isn’t a main vampire in this what it does have is supernatural confrontations from the beginning till the end.
A demoness and her followers start to terrorize a local neighbourhood which a priest attempts to mobilize the locals into fighting back.
What we see in this movie is alot of action like glowing rocks being flung across the room, a ghost somehow gets its arm ripped from its body, a supernatural girl at one pont spits maggots from her mouth.
Sammo hung also has a bit part in the movie playing a waiter , also lam ching ying of course is back in his usual taost priest role, but doesn’t really get to show any of his kung fu moves in this 3rd installment.
It goes back to the setting of the first movie as the second had taken vampires to the modern day era. I enjoyed this movie and thought it was better than the second one. Its more a ghostly fantasy movie than a full on vampire film.
I love the whole vampire series, so go grab yourself the full set, sit back and enjoy. Lam Ching Ying is brilliant in this role.
