it’s a proven fact that Jet can act quite well in serious roles too.And so he is reportedly switching to more dramas- hat’s very good.But still we need and want to see more realistic kungfu films from him really requiring his unbelieveable skills and performances; to prove that he is one of the bests in the world. am i wrong ?

I disagree actually.

I think the role in Expendables is very significant.

Expendables is Sly's attempt at bringing back the old school action films from the 80s. In order to do this he's actually gone out of his way to bring together as many action stars as possible for one film. I personally think its remarkable that he's been able to do this.

A shame Van Damme never made it (but o well )

Jet Li whilst a little outcast given the rest of the crew invovled will still make a valuable addition to the team and based on the trailer it seems as though he may have a bigger role than many originally thought.

Also worth mentioning that Jet Li is now picking his roles alot more carefully (less action roles now) , so the fact he accepted this role may be because he wanted to have a bit of fun in a action role onscreen one last time

yeah i think jet is also better in a serious role also. if talking kung fu performance id choose chan. maybe not so much today though as like u said age catches up. id love one more film with them both but a traditional kung fu period piece both playing masters. also even though im signed in it still asks me to put my email and user name when posting. is that right?

Age catches up on all of us , So it doesnt suprise me that Li is doing this role.
I heard that Li and Chan were planning one more movie together (not sure if this is gonna happene now though )

I do think that in serious roles Li's done a better job than Chan (more often than not Chan overacts when playing serious)

i think jet is taking the kinda roles that jackie chan is doing now… more dramas… i understand chan doing it has hes 55 years old. but isnt jet like 10 years younger?? maybe he is just sick of doing kung fu movies.. id love him to star in one more shaolin temple film.
