Taiwanese actor Takeshi Kaneshiro is being rumored of advancing his career in Hollywood. News website and bloggers have posted articles of him being sighted by fans in Los Angeles fuelling speculations that the actor is in talks to star in a Hollywood film. But the rumor seems to be untrue, his agency confirmed that he is in Los Angeles but just to visit some friends and not to star in any film. Though the agency admitted that there are Hollywood offers but chose not to reveal any details until everything is confirmed.
It can be recalled that Takeshi Kaneshiro made his Hollywood debut in 1998 in the film “To Tired To Die” with Oscar winning actress Mira Sorvino, but the movie did not do well in the box office. Since then, he has kept his distance from making films in the USA and even turned down a role in “The Last Samurai” staring Tom Cruise.
In recent years hes focused his career on Asian blockbuster movies such as “House of Flying Daggers” and John Woo’s war epic “Red Cliff”. He will next be seen in the movie “Onimusha” reprising his role as Samanosuke Akeshi.
