Kim Ji-Woon is currently concentrating on his next film-project – a thriller initially entitled Tropical Night. It is a story of a man whose fiancée was murdered by a psychopath / serial killer. He chases the killer trying to avenge his fiancée’s death. The film has a good amount of fierce action in it. Playing the role of the psychopath is Choi Min-Shik, whose film credits include Lady Vengeance and Himalaya, Where the Wind Dwells. The part to be played by the chaser was initially offered to Lee Byung-Heon, best known for his role in A Bittersweet Life and his Hollywood debut as Storm Shadow in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. Lee currently has commitments in Hollywood and would need to work on his schedule in order for him to work in the film.

Kim Ji-Woon is known for the films A Tale of Two Sisters and A Bittersweet Life, both of which received commercial success and critical acclaim
