Horror film “Thirst” hits UK cinemas in October

Director Park Chan-Wook’s (‘Oldboy’) latest movie, ‘Thirst’ is due to hit UK cinemas on the 16th October 2009. The movie has an unusual blend of horror and drama that centres around one man (played by Song Kang-ho) who is turned into a vampire after a medical experiment goes horribly wrong.

‘Thirst’ is the Korean take on the vampire craze that is sweeping through the western world. This horror/drama movie takes a new look at vampirism and its causes and effects so that while it’s not exactly groundbreaking, it is at least a new angle on the sub-genre of vampires.
